Dogs Tasmania COVID-19 Announcement
Cancellation, Postponement of all Events
Effective Tuesday 17th March to Sunday 31st May 2020
Dogs Tasmania advise from Tuesday 17th March 2020 until Sunday 31st May 2020 – all Dogs Tasmania sanctioned events will be cancelled or postponed. We understand that there may be some disappointment regarding this decision, but it has been taken in the best interests of all the Members of our Dogs Tasmania community.
By definition, all of Dogs Tasmania sanctioned events includes the below:
• Shows, Trials & Events
• Public Events
• Training & Dog Activities
• Members Events & Education Programs
• Face to Face Meetings
Any activity which is undertaken by affiliates during this period will not be covered by Dogs Tasmania insurance.
We recommend that Affiliates refund entry fees already received and Affiliates will be advised directly after the Council Meeting on 18/3/20 of the policy in relation to reimbursement of out of pocket expenses. It is also recommended that Affiliates take prompt action to advise judges and officials as well as seeking refunds or credits for any bookings made.
The Office will remain open with restricted access to Members, more details will be provided to Members in due course but all Members are asked to restrict their attendance at the Dogs Tasmania Office to necessary business only.
The COVID-19 situation is very dynamic. We will continue to closely monitor and consider Government advice and keep Members updated.
