To whom it may concern
Dobermann Rescue Australia Wide: R251000240
We are a breed specific rescue for the Dobermann Breed, we were initially created when Gail Goodwin-Smith found the need in Queensland for Dobermanns needing to be rehomed, since then rehoming has been done Australia Wide with the rescue rehoming dogs interstate if a new home is found that suits their requirements.
We are run by volunteers and as we generally rehome dogs directly from the owners, we do not have the requirement to charge for these dogs. The new owners are required to meet the transport costs and any vet costs that are required. All dogs must be desexed when they are rehomed. We also work with Pounds when contacted and find temporary foster carers or new owners.
When we are contacted with regards to rehoming a dog, if the dog is from a Registered Breeder, we require the owner to contact them first to see if they can rehome the dog. We also work in conjunction with many Registered Breeders to rehome any dogs for them.
With the new marketing of Dogs Australia we would most appreciate it if we could be added to the list of Breed Rescue Groups that are listed for your State. If this is possible could you please send a form if required for completion or advise by return and we will supply the contact information.
Kind Regards
Helen Blakeway
