Hobart City Council Dog Management Policy
At the Council meeting held on Monday 23 February 2026, Council adopted a new Dog Management Policy and Declared Areas.
The new declared areas have been notified in the Mercury on 25 February 2026 and will come into effect on 4 March 2026.
Further modifications have been proposed to small number of declared areas, and submissions are now open until 18 March 2026.
