Draft Dog Management Policy 2024 – let us know what you think
Dear Break O’Day residents,
We would like your feedback on an updated Dog Management Policy and dog zones (Declared areas).
We have to review our Dog Management Policy every five years and are seeking community input on a draft revision of the current Policy. We’d like to hear what you think about it before deciding on a revised policy.
Submissions are due on Tuesday 14 May 2024.
Different people support and disagree with different aspects of the policy and dog zones.
Council will consider all submissions on the draft revised policy, so all points of view and interests across the community have equal access and say in making of the policy.
Council aims to balance the reasonable expectations of dog owners and the community in the Dog Policy; providing for dogs and their owners whilst public health, safety and amenity are maintained and wildlife are not unduly harmed.
